AMA Suzuki Superbike Weekend

Action on the track returns to the Auto Club Speedway for the AMA Suzuki Superbike Championship weekend from April 25-27.  The weekend, the third stop on the 2008 AMA Superbike circuit, will feature a doubleheader with a Superbike Championship race on both Saturday the 26^th and Sunday the 27^th.

Last year’s doubleheader saw series champion Ben Spies take the win on Saturday’s race for his third consecutive Superbike win at the Speedway.  In Sunday’s action, Spies’ American Suzuki teammate Mat Mladen edged him by just 0.35 seconds for the victory.  The duo has shared the top two spots over the last four Superbike races at the Speedway.

The weekend will also feature exciting racing in the Supersport, Superstock and Formula Xtreme classes.  All motorcycle races take place on the Auto Club Speedway’s 2.36-mile road course.

Once again the midway will be packed with interactive displays and merchandise from your favorite brands, drivers and teams.  Manufacturers including Yamaha will be on hand to offer demo rides to licensed motorcyclists so you’ll have the chance to test out some of the newest street bikes around.

Southern California’s favorite moto-X team, the Metal Mulisha, will return for the weekend and that means the most exciting, one-of-a-kind acrobatic stunts anywhere.  If you came to last year’s weekend or have checked out the Auto Club Speedway’s past few NASCAR weekends, you know that the Mulisha is a must-see event.

And to top if off, the midway will also host autograph signing sessions by your favorite riders
